I told you I wasn’t going to talk about Kling 3.0 until I actually used it.
Not just watched the demos.
Not just scrolled through the hype.
Actually put it inside a real project to see what happens.

So that’s what I’ve been doing this week.
Some of it was client work I can’t show yet. Some of it was my own story work. But either way, I wanted to answer one simple question.
Can I actually build with this?
Here’s the honest answer.
Yes.
But not casually.
Kling 3.0 is slow right now. You wait. You regenerate. You adjust. You question your prompt. You question yourself.
And then every once in a while, it gives you a shot that makes you lean back in your chair.
That’s the moment that changes things.
For me, the real shift isn’t just the base model. It’s Omni.
The elements system.

Being able to create characters, tag environments, lock props, and reuse them across shots feels different. It feels closer to directing than prompting. Like you’re building a small film bible inside the tool, instead of hoping your description holds everything together.
It still drifts. Multi-shot can be unpredictable. Dialogue has to be explicit. And because it’s new, iteration feels heavier than it probably will in a few months.
But compared to where we were even half a year ago, this is a meaningful step toward narrative control.

Seedance 2.0 is on the horizon. I’m watching that closely. If Kling just pushed control forward, I’m curious to see how Seedance responds. We’re clearly in that phase again where these tools are leapfrogging each other every few months.
